Who we are
Bible For All is operated by Sterin Saji. The Android application ID is com.bibleOffline.bibleforall. Questions or privacy requests may be sent to hello@sterin.dev.
Information stored on your device
The app stores reading preferences and content you choose to save, such as theme settings, highlights, saved verses, study topics, reading positions, and feature preferences. This information remains on your device and is not uploaded to Bible For All. You can remove it by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app.
Images selected for the verse-image creator are processed on your device. Bible For All does not upload your selected images to its own servers. When you choose Share, Android sends the content to the app or service you select, subject to that service's privacy practices.
Analytics
We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand aggregate app usage and improve reliability and usability. Analytics may process app interactions, screen or feature usage, app version, device and operating-system information, language, approximate region derived from network information, and an app-instance identifier.
We have disabled Android Advertising ID collection and advertising-personalization signals. We do not use Analytics to serve ads, and we do not send the text of a place entered in the church search or the device's precise coordinates as Analytics event parameters.
Firebase Analytics is provided by Google. Learn more in Google's Privacy Policy and Firebase Privacy and Security.
Location and church search
The Find a Church feature can work with a town, city, postcode, or country that you enter. If you tap Near me, the app asks Android for location permission and obtains your location only while fulfilling that request. Location access is optional and can be denied or revoked in Android settings.
The search term or coordinates are sent to Google Maps to display nearby Pentecostal churches. Bible For All does not retain those coordinates on its servers. Google may receive technical information associated with the map request under Google's Privacy Policy.
Images and external services
The app may request openly licensed image information and image files from Wikimedia Commons for daily verses and the verse-image creator. Wikimedia receives ordinary network-request information such as an IP address and browser or device details. See the Wikimedia Foundation Privacy Policy.
Links to credited sources, Bible For All web pages, Google Maps, email, and sharing destinations open external services. Those services are responsible for their own privacy practices.
Audio
Chapter audio uses text-to-speech facilities available on your device. Depending on the speech engine configured by the device owner, the provider of that engine may process text according to its own privacy policy. Bible For All does not retain an audio recording of your reading.
Contact and support
If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you include. We use it to answer your request, investigate a correction, or meet legal obligations. Support correspondence is retained only as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes and may then be deleted.
How information is shared
We do not sell personal information. Information is shared only as needed with the service providers described above, when you deliberately choose an external or sharing service, when required by law, or when necessary to protect users and the service.
Security, retention, and deletion
Network requests made by the app use HTTPS where supported. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we limit collection and use reasonable technical safeguards appropriate to the information handled.
Locally stored information remains until you remove it or uninstall the app. Google controls retention for Firebase Analytics according to the project's Analytics settings and Google's applicable terms. Bible For All does not maintain user accounts. For questions or deletion requests concerning information you sent directly to us, email hello@sterin.dev.
Children
Bible For All does not knowingly ask children to provide personal information or offer public user profiles, chat, or account creation. Parents or guardians who believe a child has sent information directly to us may contact us to request deletion.
Your choices
- Use church search without granting device location by entering a general place.
- Grant, deny, or revoke location permission in Android settings.
- Choose whether to select an image or share generated content.
- Clear locally stored app data or uninstall the app.
- Contact us about privacy or information you supplied directly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app, its service providers, or legal requirements change. The latest version will remain available at this URL, with the updated date shown above.
